A quirky and dynamic Australian clothing brand will soon open its first store in Far North Queensland.
Gorman, who has been a mainstay of Melbourne’s fashion scene for two decades, is opening a new outlet in Cairns Central next week.
A spokesperson for the clothing company said Tropic now this is part of a larger shift to bring the brand to regional hubs.
“We are delighted to open our first Gorman store on August 12 in Cairns Central,” the spokesperson said.
“We have a large number of loyal Gorman customers in Tropical Queensland and have responded to their many requests to open a store closer to them.
“Gorman offers fresh, modern collections of apparel, footwear, homewares and accessories.
“The brand has become famous for its bold and quirky prints, strong color palettes and knits.
“The emphasis on sustainable fashion comes through the green label Gorman, [which is] is committed to using organic and recycled fabrics and materials whenever possible.
“Gorman enjoys collaborating with many artists across Australia and the world, there are always opportunities to collaborate with local artists one day.”
Cairns Central center manager Christie-Lee Jackson said the new Gorman store is the first of a few new stores to open this spring.
