Ah, fall fashion. I couldn’t love it more if I tried! Fall is definitely my favorite season when it comes to styling, as I can combine my favorite aspects of winter (like chic jackets and fun overlays) and summer (like showing off some skin and playing with the color) to create a particularly dreamy wardrobe. This season I really want to go all out, so I shop early for fall fashion trends to get a head start.

What is it, you ask? A major upgrade from the matching tracksuit you thought you could keep from 2020. It’s time to donate, baby! Even your loungewear should have a high touch these days, which is why matching silk and satin pajama style sets are all the rage. Dress them up, dress them up, wear them to work or never leave your sofa. You will still be ready for the photo.

Now when you want to put the spotlight, leather is the choice. But I’m not talking about that black leather motorcycle jacket you’ve had in your closet since college! Swap the old basic for some fun new colors and silhouettes – and for your information, there’s no need to shop for the real deal. Long live the vegan!

As for accessories, maximalist jewelry is still all the rage, so dare to buy earrings, rings and necklaces. Last but not least, the most unexpected trend of this season is a shoe moment: the cowboy boot. Can i have a yeehaw ?? Western styles will replace the trusty combat boots and over-the-knee outlet styles, giving even understated looks a little more flair.

This truly is the Wild West of fall fashion, so read on to shop for the best trends below.

Our mission at STYLECASTER is to bring style to people, and we only offer products that we think you will love as much as we do. Mejuri is a sponsor of STYLECASTER, however, all products in this article have been independently selected by our editors. Please note that if you purchase something by clicking on a link in this story, we may receive a small commission on the sale.

PSA: Jewelry is more important than ever, so doing the bare minimum (AKA, a big gold chain) won’t be enough. Summer maximalist accessories will make their way into fall, so opt for on-trend rings, chunky chokers, layered bracelets and anything else that catches the light.

Monochrome Dome Ring

Mejuri is known for their classic gold pick, but don’t think they can’t have fun when it comes to color! This turquoise enamel ring with citrine stone is the perfect combination of special and playful.

I have a confession to make

I’m a sucker for Melinda Maria MM Icons earrings sets and this one in particular is particularly good. Flashy, colorful and mismatched styles will dominate this season, especially when paired with simpler outfits for a whimsical touch.

Say goodbye to matching tracksuits worn at home or outside the house. The satin and silk sets are just as flowing and comfy, but with a tailored touch that makes your off-duty fit look dressy.

Sylvie top + Sandra pants

I already own this Apparis set in Epsom Green, and I will definitely be investing in the Black colourway for fall and winter. The stretch belt on the Sandra pants made it my daily reference, while the Top Sylvie Looks great buttoned up or worn open with a bra or tank top.

Washable silk high waist pant set

This Washable silk high waist pant set by LUNYA has the same tailored pajama silhouette, available in six great colourways. Energized blue is definitely my favorite, but the brand’s signature washable silk is luxurious in every shade.

This season, ditch the black leather jacket and opt for more unique colors and silhouettes. Oh, and get wrong! Vegan leather has improved so much over the years proving that you don’t have to hang on to the real deal when a perfect alternative exists. Swap out motorcycle jackets for leather trench coats and blazers, or ditch the outerwear and opt for leather shirt dresses, pants and more.

Natalia Faux Leather Trench Coat In Lilac

A black leather trench coat will always be timeless, but if you already have one that you like, it’s best to add a splash of color to your leather range. APPEARED Natalia Trench Coat In Lilac is my personal choice.

Cognac faux leather trench dress

Rich neutral leather looks just as luxurious as classic black, but feels even more intentional. I’m obsessed with this Eloquii faux leather belted trench dress, perfect for spicing up your work wardrobe once we (sigh) get back to office life.

OTK ankle boots are a thing of the past, just like basic black ankle boots. Take a walk on the wild side – the Wild West, that is – in cowboy boots that showcase Western details. And don’t think these styles are strictly for denim! Pair them with dresses and skirts for an unexpected contrast.

Dagget Boot in Pink

Yes, you need a pair in brown or black, but don’t let that stop you from adding a trendy boot to your range! Those Dagger Boots by Jeffrey Campbell are guaranteed to turn heads.
