I don’t want to hurt him, but I think it’s safe to say winter is officially behind us. Make way for spring! And with it, the big fashion trends for spring 2021. This year’s bundle is full of cheerful colors and playful aesthetics and I couldn’t be more in favor of a little fun. We’ve had a tough 12 months, haven’t we?
The main looks of this season are the main trends in colors and patterns. For colors, pastels are the order of the day, so dive into dreamy blues, sunny pale yellows and baby pinks galore. On the pattern side, we’re not quite ready for the funky checkerboard print of the summer yet, so to hold us back in the meantime, the girly gingham will have time to shine. The classic look only screams the cottagecore picnic blanket, but can be reimagined in so many ways.
Make way for accessories! This spring, we are removing a few gold chains and even our large gold hoops in favor of more playful pieces. Mixed beads, colored enamel, the works! The bolder it is, the better it is when it comes to rings, earrings and all the other jewelry.
Finally, two opposing trends: For those looking to dress up, matching costume sets are all the rage, but swap your pants for a miniskirt or shorts for a springtime look. For all those who want to dress up, a big daddy sandal with velcro straps is all the rage. Believe me when I say they feel as good on the feet as your midlife slippers.
