The fashion industry is constantly changing, and each season brings with it new fashions, colors, fits and styles. But for those of us who are always a little late to prom, it’s a good thing that there are some fashion trends that never go out of style.

Here are five that have survived decades and will likely last for years to come:

1. Floral prints

Nature prints have a long and famous history. And why shouldn’t they? Flowers have always been a symbol of beauty and femininity, no matter the culture, age or height of the person. The origins of printmaking are in the Far East – traders would bring ornate and printed floral designs in silk and sell them in the West in the Middle Ages. Beautiful materials were marked higher than any other fabric and only the wealthy could afford them at the time. By the late 1400s, floral prints were a feature of every closet and home – even curtains and sofas followed the trend.

2. John

A pair of trusted jeans is a classic wardrobe for people of all genders, ages, and body types. When German immigrant Levi Strauss moved to the United States in the 1850s, he joined his brother, who ran a dry goods store. One day, a customer by the name of Jacob W. Davis ordered a pair of sturdy pants that could withstand hard work. Davis bought the denim from Strauss and reinforced it by placing copper rivets where the pants tear the most – the pockets and the zippers. He knew he had found something great – Davis teamed up with Strauss and patented the design. The partners opened a bigger factory, and the rest is history.

3. Minimalist style

It’s not just a trend, it’s an attitude and a lifestyle. Clean-cut pants, solid white T-shirts and other neutral colors are common features of this trend, which both men and women have embraced in the modern age. A clean, organic look and feel is the main focus of this trend, without any frivolous fabrics or extra trim. Think about Steve Jobs!

4. Utility jacket

Warm, protective, with plenty of pockets, the utility jacket is the perfect combination of functionality and style. First developed in the early part of the 20th century to meet the needs of American farm workers, who spent a lot of time working outdoors, these jackets are still valued for their durability and stylish, utilitarian appeal.

5. All black

Everything is better in black – a timeless color that has become a staple in every woman (or man) wardrobe. Color has an undeniable power – it can be serious, sinister, chic or sophisticated, depending on how you wear it. Black leather jackets, for example, showcase the rebellious spirit of biker gangs, while black dresses are women’s favorites, especially in styles of clothing for tall women, due to their shape. flattering. There is no doubt about it – every wardrobe probably has a black item of clothing.
